I would say I have been seeing it being affected around 2100 2200.

There is no way you are gettin 40 mpg Especially in a 7.3 And I alson find it hard to believe you guys are gettin 20 mpg I think you guys need a new calcukator or at least new batteries

i think you might be in the wrong thread albie...i dont see anyone claiming 40mpg in this one, although i do remember one with a guy claiming that .....and i agree with ya, your right on with your milage estimates...

20 i would beleave though, problem is if your getting 20mpg out of a 6.0, it means your babying it.....which means you will have turbo issues since they dont take to being babied well....lol

Only way my truck would get 40 mpg is falling off a cliff or running Veggie Oil. I get 20 to 21 when I BABY it, norm as of late is about 18 to 19. I've noticed that my mpg's really start dropping off if the tach is frequently above 2100 rpms. At 3600 rpm I can actually SEE the fuel gauge moving...lol.

I might get 40 if Iwas being towed I m gettin 15 or 16 at best Stock I was gettin 12 or 13

20 mpg.......solid as a rock......no towing.....some light hauling and a good tickle of the right foot once in a while........running powersytems additive from wally world.

If I romp on it I get 16, 18 if i baby it in traffic, 22.8 If I do 70 (roughly 2000rpm's).

Albie I'm sure you know your stuff, no question about that, but your pushin 35" tires. Did you ever put new gears in your diff to correct? That might explain your fuel mileage. I know what I get. I just put new batteries in my calculator.

i run 35 inch tires and every ten miles i have to add 1 mile to correct for tire size. i get 16-17 consistantly. 1 time i got 20 running steady 60mph. for a 100 mile trip
