Help with air horn

sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. but quick question if anyone could help..

On my on board compressor is there any way to test the pressure switch to see if its bad?

I guess have a gauge on it or test the pressure with something so you know where you're at.
Then, if you know you're at a pressure when the switch shoulda come on, see if you're getting power to the switch and then see if power is going out of the switch. If not, it's not working right.

Basically. Without a gauge you really cant tell. I have one on my tank, but I wanna put one in the truck.
