question on oil pan?

I put my truck in to get a oil change and i was told that the oil pan looks pretty rough and may need to be replaced was just wondering on if you need to take the cab off the truck or what to replace it, whats the cost to do one of these, i live in shamokin pa is there any good shops that could do this better then a ford dealer?
