trans kit6
I drive about 25% city 25% highway and 50% country. Country driving is long two land roads with minimal stops at about 55 miles an hour. Just put the trans in finished it Wednesday so it only has about 100 miles since I put it in if that. No Power upgrades have been done engine is almost stock the only thing I have done to the engine is took off the muffler and made it straight pipe 3inch exhaust. K&N air filter system no air box tire size is 285x75x16 stock gears. As I said before I have added a good aftermarket trans cooler and today I checked the trans temp and it stayed around 155-160 with my driving

trans kit
ok now recomendations for trans kit which one should I look at which one will do what I need and out of all the different brands out there which one will do what I need and that I can afford that is why I was looking at the bully dog trans kit because I have been told it will do what I need and I can afford it but I don't want to be wasting my money or time installing it.

I can't say anything for or against the Bullydog kit. However, I do know that there are alot of different things changed on Performance Valvebodies than just a few springs. I know there is some machining that goes on to increase flow and to change shift firmness and control shift points and such. The description of the Bullydog kit is so vague I really don't know what it does besides raise line pressure. If I had to post a suggestion I would say go with a performance valvebody. If tyou feel confident in pulling the valvebody apart, then the Bullydog may not be a terrible choice. Maybe someone with experience with Bullydog will chime in. |

Hey Dieselnut, How would you rate my tranny as far as being a candidate for shift kit? 60,000 miles. No towing until recently( 4 trips with camper less than 500 miles total) no really hard driving. I drive 80 % city. I just installed Ts 6 posiytion, exhaust, and commander. I am trying to be safe with the tranny.
