The PO of my truck hauled a camper and the gate is speckled pretty bad. Apparently some campers let you just lay your tailgate down and then the tailgate becomes a big mudflap. Just take it off.

Slide in bed camper? If your tailgate is down it will get dinged. PO of my truck must have done this because it looks like it was peppered with a 12ga a few times.
