Bad experience with Recon

My fiancée recently purchased a set of Recons projector headlights and an HID kit for my F350. She had no idea what to buy, so she asked for help at recon. The sales associate she spoke to told her what type of lights that would fit. So she bought them. When I had them installed it was discovered that recon had told her to buy 9007 HID bulbs... Those are direct Factory reflector housing bulbs. They needed to be H1 to fit projector housings. When she called, she spoke to the same sales associate that had told her to buy the 9007 bulbs. He apologized, realized he had made a mistake and told her he was sending new H1 HID bulbs to replace the wrong ones. Three days go by, nothing by mail so she calls Recon today and gets the same guy. He tells her she is lying, says he never suggested 9007 bulbs and the replacements were never sent. He blows her off, tells her he will have a supervisor call her and subsequently no one called back. I'm afraid we are going to have to take a company who I had THOUGHT to be a reputable company to small claims court because they won't send the right bulbs like they had promised. I wanted to spread the word so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Recon. There are alot of posts on this site and others about the terrible customer service and product quality Recon puts out. My advice would be to just get your money back and spend it elsewhere. I personally have bought tinted cab light lenses from them and that was all good but I won't ever be buying from them again after reading so many terrible stories about them. Good luck in receiving what you want from them.

Yeah, I love their stuff. Great quality, and lifetime warranty on everything including bulbs. I'm fixing to order their fog light kit. Their kits are on sale too btw

Well the owner got ahold of my fiancée... He knew who had told her the wrong parts to get and acted like that sales associate had done this many times before. The owner of recon personally sent me new H1 HID bulbs and even a set of xenon high beam bulbs. Customer service sucked, but when the owner himself stepped in to make thing rite everything worked out.

Great to hear they stepped up to the plate and made it right.
