V10/PSD race
Ok my girlfriends dad has a 2004 F350 V10 and he wants to race me in my 99 F350, PSD, 6 speed. Were going to find a quarter mile and let it go. Any suggestions on how to launch? 1st or 2nd? Can I build boost simply by getting the rpms up to around 2000 rpms? Post up suggestions I know I can smoke him, but the launch is the place that he may get me!

Honestly.... tell him to meet you at the track.... with officials, times, etc..... Make it for real! Not just a back country road somewhere! |

its hard on the clutch......But you can set your ebrake, partially release the clutch so its dragging while spooing the RPMs up to gain so me boost, and release the ebrake right on take off, but if you mess any part of this up, its gonna be way worse than starting without pre boosting...... i would reccomend just dumping the clutch at about 2 grand..... |

i think it'd be funny if you smoke him to frame the slip and give it to him for christmas or something
