Sand blasting axles

Im wanting to clean up my axles and i was wondering can i just unbolt and take to the shop to have it sand blasted. Thanks

Why not just leave them bolted and take a wire wheel to them?

Just figured it would be easier and look/last longer. I was just worried that sand blasting would hurt axle seals or even the differential. Im looking to see if anyone has done this before

all i did with mine is wire brush the shish out of them and bedlined my rear along with the rest of my frame
