Need 7.3 Advice

My friend is making the upgrade from a Dodge to a Ford

He found a truck that looks pretty good and isn't too sure as to what to check on the truck before he buys it. The only thing were really worried about is the fast that the truck has 200k miles on it. I know it's a 7.3 and they have a very good reputation but how many miles is too much

Basically what should we check for when we go to look at the truck?
I know it doesn't have a tailgate but I have one off my 06 (I upgraded to a 08 gate). He would also buy a new back bumper and headlights.

i made the jump fro a 99 cummins to an 01 stroker with 220k

the only problem ive had with my stroker is the hub that the previous owner purchased a new one for but never installed blew up

he also put in new valve covers injectors and wiring harnesses and ive had no problems

But Assuming the truck was taken care of And maintained properly should I be concerned about major engine or transmission problems?

How many miles have you put on the truck since you bought it? No engine or transmission issues?

I bought it with 170k or so and just rolled 206k about 20min ago. The only real problem I had was bad batteries that killed an alt, and a stuck caliper pin. Its been real good to me.

i bought mine with 77k in 06, neither engine nor trans made it to 100k but what can i say i was hard on equipment 125k on it nowdays it it will run forever because i am a maintenance stickler. anyone who will run around without a back bumper will neglect scheduled maintenance
