Overhead Console issues

When i got my truck the overhead console never worked so i took it apart to find that 2 resistors separated from the board. i resoldered them to the board and now it works great but the display shows the instant MPG but it cant be selected

im in a 2001 F350 lariat crew cab

Are you saying that you can see a instant MPG section in the LCD? If that's the case, I think it's normal. My 00 has that spot in the LCD but no way to select it that I am aware of. It's probably for another vehicle that uses the same LCD. Regardless, the overhead is referred to as a lie-o-meter when it comes to MPG readings.

what is the trick to getting the overhead console down?? I cant see any screws and i need to replace the doors. Thanks for any and all suggestions. It is on an 02 f250 superduty crew cab

POP 2 CLIPS ON BOTH SIDES HERE




POP 2 CLIPS ON BOTH SIDES DOWN HERE TOO


PUSH THESE 2 TABS IN (on both sides) WHILE PULLING DOWN AND THE WHOLE CONSOLE SHOULD POP DOWN
