Buying a motor. Is it worth it?
I have an opportunity to by a 7.3l that came out of a 2000 van. It was running when it came out and has 143k on it. It is a complete ready to run motor with a turbo. He wants 800. Is it worth that? I think it might be. I have two 7.3l trucks, so it might be good to have this motor.

I think it's worth it, and as stated above, would be nice to hear it run before you buy it, but it comes down to trusting the seller if you can't. I got one for $300, mostly stripped, no turbo... was worth it to me, core charge on injectors is that much...

Psshh yes. You could at least core/part out a lot of it for close to 800.

I figured the objectors and turbo have to be worth 800.
