Front Axle Question
I have a 2000 F350 CC SRW LB 4x4.
Owners manual shows that I could have a Dana 50 or Dana 60. The ID tag on the axle cover shows -top line "3.73 (triangle)YC35 JB", bottom line "(triangle)610893-1" Anyone have an idea on which front axle it is? |

Probably a 50. Won't be on the tag, should be in the casting

I found out from another website member that the ID Tag is located on the rear of the front axle. The D50 is ID'd by 229, and, the D60 is ID'd by 248.
My truck's tag has a 229 number. Thanks for the info, folks. Much appreciated. Rich |
