Got Truck, now what?

So I get the 7.3...

and now for the real questions...

I bought to use for Daily Driving (kid haulin) and to Tow our new Travel Trailer.

Of the 3 most popular mods..which should come first? Will do one at a time..budget!

Cold Air Intake
Tuner Box
Exhaust

I am interested in Exhaust...a single...but not interested in having my Cab full of noise that works on the ear drums, and the wifes nerves! Who make a Turbo Back exhaust that has the least in cab resonance? I am fine with the noise I have now (in cab) but nothing louder...out the rear is of no concern!

A tuner will be fine, nothing too fancy, but something to work with exhaust and CAI

CAI can follow the above guidelines...not building a race or show truck here!

I'm not into pulling or draggin' so no super power house is needed, just mainly want to increase Mileage and a pwr increase wouldn't be that bad either.

Very LTD budget here, but all advice welcome!

oh, and....
What about Bio-Diesel?

I totally agree with your mod list. but before you get a chip get yourself some gauges if you dont already have em. EGT Tranny temp and boost.

Gauges ~300
Intake ~40
Straight pipe the exhaust ~75
6 pos flip chip ~300
That should get you started then depending on how much you enjoy tinkering you can do a lot of free/cheap mods later that do not make a huge difference but are worth doing if you like that kinda stuff.

i agree with everone else... Guages first is a must then exahust, intake and tuner.. i like the Edge Evo 2 with the digital gauges.... you get a great tuner and gauges in one package..... a lot cheaper that way...

The 6637 intake would work fine and is cheap. I put a Magnaflow on my truck and it sounded great, but was pretty quiet in the cab.

VERY contagious!

I have a AFE Stage 1 intake that I picked up off of ebay for $80 and a MBRP 4" Turbo back - no cat - high flow muffler - 5" tip exhaust for $300. Next will be guages and a chip -- but wanted to do the supporting, althought not as fun, mods first

when doing the 6637 mod do you have to change pipes too or does that just help?

I think you need to change the pipe to a 4" to get a better fit. It will flow better too.
