should i get a new truck?

so i am torn between what i should do i have two options

option 1
i have a 2002 f250 excab short bed i love my truck i have made it my own but the transmission is going and it needs some other work and the total i would get a btw tranny and other components i would have to spend several thousand dollars and i just don't know if i should

option 2
i could sell my truck and i found an 97 obs reg cab for about 8600 and it is in mint condition and has a manual tranny so i could spend the extra money i get from selling my truck and make this truck amazing and drive the hell out of it and have an awesome truck.

i just don't know what i should do is it worth getting the new truck or keeping my truck and putting the money into that truck...... i just don't know what to do what would you do?

The OBS trucks will never ride as nice as the newer Super Duty trucks. For my money, I'd either fix what you have or buy another Super Duty truck.
