SPRING TIP ISOLATOR???
Had my 1999 250 super duty looked over at dealership b4 I purchased it. One item was "spring tip isolator cracked/missing". Where exactly is that located, what is its function, and how is it fixed. Front sus has leaf springs with one shock, no coil.
thanks- |

They are small almost round plastic (teflon) pads that go between the tips of the springs. All leaf spring packs had they at one time. Look closely at the ends of the springs in this photo. Springs You can see the different kinds of isolators. Hope this helps. ZooDad |

Some leaf springs came with out them, If one or 2 are cracked or missing, I don't think it would make me worry too much....
Good luck... |
