Truck Fart??

Tonight I got into my truck and started it and it fired up fine in the begining but right before it cranked all the way over it paused, and then continued to fire right up. Sorry it so hard to describe, its just like the truck farted (kinda paused) right before it got done cranking over. But I started it up 3 or 4 other times tonight and it was normal and sounded good. So am I just paranoid or could something be going out?
Thanks

well if there is such thing as a truck fart, that means a truck SHART is quite possible.

I've herd the turbo fart from time to time. Cool Night? Did ya give the glow plugs time to do their job?

Kinda cool, I always let the glow plugs warm up too. Was it probably just random?

check the batteries. when we load test the batteries on diesels in our shop we almost never use the carbon testers (toasters) with diesels. if the weather is not really cold, unhook one battery and crank the engine over, if it cranks fine, swap to the other battery. occasionally you will have a weak cell in one battery or just one battery that has less reserve, after sitting for a while the battery will not have enough juice to continue cranking through the compression. after driving around the battery will have a complete charge until allowed to sit for several hours which could account for not having any more episodes.

on the other hand, maybe your truck is lactose intollerant?

How can the turbo fart???

Sounds to me like the starter or the relay is on its way out....Ive had to replace both.....Also the batteries could be getting a little low on volts....put a volt meter on them, unhooked, and see what they read... If the system doesnt have enough volts then it will just crank over and not start...
