need help with pcm

Hey guys I'm still fairly new to this but the other day i was trying to remove my pcm so i can get the code to order my chip. Once i unbolted the wire harness then took the two bolts out in the cab right beside the ebrake peddle I tried to pull out the pcm like its suppose to. But it didn't work that way, felt like it was getting caught on the bracket. Anyone havr any tips or is their some sort of secret. Its a 2000 7.3 . Thanks in advance.

just pull and prey...... that u dont mess it up. it should separate pretty easy. just give it a tug. there is a 10mm bolt on the firewall on the drivers side and then them 2 7 or 8mm bolts for the bracket just wiggle it up and down it will come out

You have to move the tail end to the right until the tang on the plastic frame pops out (the tang is near the firewall end on the left side).

Thanks guys! The reason couldn't get the back to pop out was cuz it was catching my clutch pedal. I took the 10mm bolt out of the bottom of the bracket and popped that off and it slid right out. Thanks again for the help
