1/8-27 NPT or just 1/8NPT is the size for the plug on the side of the trans, so if the temp probe itself is small enough diameter wise, you can get a whatever size to 1/8NPT female adapter with a male 1/8NPT on the other end and do it that way.

Aslong as you plumb it good, you shouldn't have any leaks with the extra fittings.

Im thinking Stewart Warner might have something like a 1/4NPT or 3/8NPT for their temp senders thread size, most (Autometer, Isspro, etc.) seem to often use 1/8NPT for the temp senders.

Here's some dry read for tapered pipe threads, pipe threads

I a getting the boost from the map sensor line. I will check for a kink today. Yeah, my exhaust is straight. I just did a muffler delete. I need to do the DIY intake though. That would help as menitoned earlier in the posts.

Yeah, I think the sender itself is bigger than the hole that you would put it in to. I may have to send the entire guage back for another one once Stewart warner calls back

See if they have a temp probe with 1/8 NPT threads, if they don't then sending the gauge back for replacement won't be much of help.

Is your truck an early 99 or late 99?

Your EGT's concern me for being a stock truck but you do have a bigazz dually. Still with stock programming it should be hard to see 1200...

Your boost I hope is wrong, but that might be what is causing your high egt's. Definitely check for kinks in the boost line... I have done both AIH and map sensor plug in for boost - both after installing a chip go up to 25-28 so it shouldn't matter.

ok, when driving, when I start to really hear the turbo when I am just driving, not romping on it, the guage only shows like 5-6 PSI. Is that right? It really reaches its highest point at 2700 RPM at WOT. What should I see as far as boost levels stock? if I dont see that boost level that I should see, assuming no kinks in the boost line to the guage, what should I look for under the hood to account for low boost levels?

The best way to get the maximum boost is to really put a load on the engine! Run your truck up a hill or incline and see what you get for boost.
