No get up and go

I have a 7.3 2002 thats stock with 130k miles on all origanal engine and tranny. Truck is an automatic. Before floored it from stand still and it would take off, rev up to 3k then shift hard to 2nd and the same for third. Now give gas from stop it would rev to 2.3 k but acts like im dragging a boat anchor off of the Titanic. I can only get it up to 70 mph and it takes for ever, it does down shifts but with no noticeable tranny slippage, but no get up and or passing power.

hmm could be lots of things but some easy checks would be to look for boost leaks. Does your truck seem to smoke more or more black smoke then usual. Check your intake and make sure you filter is good to go. Also if you have a scan tool available see if you have any codes.

I oil, fuel and air filter has been changed in the last 3k. I do need a new cam sensor. No smoke at all. I had no chance to check codes.

I agree w/ vital. Sounds like the motor has no air. open the hood and have sone1 rev it a lil and see if you hear a rush of air.
Also a question is the truck new to you or have you have it a long time. If you just got it, it might be "ragged out" people drive these things like you stole them and make the wear down earlier. I test drove one that had 150k and took it home for a weekend my mech. told me that this truck had been abused and need alot of work. It runs and sounds great but really slugish. sounds kinda like your situation

no passing power is something that happened to my truck years ago, right before the fuel pump died.
