4" Straight Turbo Back

Well I finally got the new exhaust on tonight! 4" AFE turbo back system..I LOVE the new tune it gives !!! Had to get my wife to rev the engine for me so I could hear it from outside the cab...lol!1 Squirrel!!

Plan on getting to the exhaust shop to weld all the seams/clamps on it now for each section but want to drive a few miles so I am sure all my angles are correct and no hitting/banging underneath...

Was gonna get the 5" system but am glad I stuck to a 4 instead, Very pleased with it....

Why so happy with the 4" vs 5"? Is the 4" very loud? Can you keep it quiet if you stay out of it? How much diffrence is there from the stock to the 4", if both have muffler delete?
Just wonderin'....
Thanks!
Greg

Actually you would be surprised as the 4" isnt all that much louder in the cab then stock. Its louder at the tailpipe but not obnoxious in my opinion

If I ever come to your house on a service call, I'll make sure to rev it up... **grin** however, is "old Mrs. Jones" gonna be not calling my company who's name/phone number is on the side of the truck? Man, I sure love a good soundin' truck, but I also gotta worry about "company image"... really sucks.
On the truck, I think I am gonna straigt pipe my stock exhaust for now.... just got a mig welder, and I know I got pipe the right size... Freebee! I love $0 dollar mods! I'll wait on the van, see how loud the truck is first!

HaHaHa well if its a company truck and you are the owner don't worry about it, but if your not signing the checks I would keep it stock

The 4" turbo back with a high flow muffler is quiet IMO -- a straight pipe will give you more of the injector clack sound and whistle from the turbo at low revs, but higher up it'll have a decent tone

I don't "sign the checks", but I do own the company.... (My sisters signs 'em, but she owns the company too!) In my mind, it's my customers that sign the checks! I guess if it's some cranky ol' geezer that hates loud trucks, they arn't my customer anyway!

Yeah Greg I don't think its obnoxiously loud, but the person standing next to me might who knows! I guess you could always buy an exhaust with the muffler, and then buy the muffler delete pipe, and if its too loud with the delete pipe put the muffler back on
