i may have lost my mind

the excab isn't really working with the baby seat. my truck is a 2000 with 61k original miles. been thinking of trading for a crew cab but can't find one with low miles. sooo, been thinking about 6.0s. can they really be made built proof? should i just suck it up and live with it? will i regret it if i get a 6.0?

If you do some reading, you can definitely make a 6.0 bullet proof.

I traded my 99 Ex cab and that was the main reason. I got a 6.4 crew cab and I could never have anything other than a crew cab now.

you live in middle tn, you have 3 of the top shops in the country to help you out. the back seat in an extended cab do suck. 6.0's are good trucks and if you put on a coolant filter, block off the egr it will be fine, needs to be studded to run the hotter tunes. i would look into an 08+ though if money allows. they are super nice all around and your truck should bring top dollar on trade in. everyone wants a low mile 7.3

your not nuts, crew cabs are the best period. 6.0s can be great too, just have to be taken care of

Sane as can be, I am having the same thoughts towards a crew cab 6.4. Not going to like a payment again but my 6 year old isn't getting smaller.

With 5 kids, I'm thinking about both... graft my extened cab onto the back of a crew cab! Superduty version of a supercrew...

sure glad we got the Ex...

Lol, nice. It also doesn't help that low mileage/clean 7.3 trucks are going for crazy amounts around me. An 02 crew can with 38,000 miles just sold for around $32k. Whoever bought it is nuts or too rich to care. Pretty tempting when I can sell mine for 5k more than I bought it for and then use that money to rip the emissions stuff of the 6.4...damn temptations!
