Question HELP! replace or not

Has anybody had issues/experience with the icp sensor? My truck is running rough idle and rough starts. I can't decide if I want to spend another hundred and some bucks if it won't make a difference.

So far since I bought the truck two months ago a mechanic has replaced the idm and one injector on the left side. Still wasn't right after a few weeks and he traced a problem to the under valve harness on the right side. Once into it he said the harnes was fairly new but a connection was messed up and he fixed it and then put in 4 new glow plugs. Then had to replace the idm again (on warranty this time), said the bad connection on the one injector blew the idm. I replaced the cps, fuel filter, new batteries (still had the original motorcrafts, i think), and it's still idling a bit rough.

It does run a whole lot better after all the repairs though. My mechanic said the icp will either be good or bad, if it's bad the truck won't run. I question him on this one. He seems to know his stuff though.

Could the icp be causing me problems? How can I check it? This is starting to get expensive (i still need new shocks and brakes pretty bad, UGH!!). Thanks for any advise.

Oh yeah, I've also changed the oil and filter, running chevron 15w-40.

How does your air filter look?

Other than that, hopefully someone will be along soon that can help.

truck came with the afe stage 2 and I cleaned and re-oiled it, have also been running power service in the fuel tank, I'm thinking about filling the fuel bowl with it but not sure if that is a good thing or not.
