Powder metal rods?
Hey everyone,
I am trying to put a H2e turbo on my 2000 f-250 with 5 inch straight pipe and an intake with up pipes and an intercooler. my main concern is the rods. Is there any chart that someone has to see what rods I have? Thanks |

Inspection hole is your best bet.

2000 should be forged. PMRs weren't until around mid 01 I think...

Yea, PMRs were mid to late 01. Before that was forged all the way.

and is it true that the forged rods are good up to 500 hp?

Yea you should have no problem with the rods. You'll want to do headstuds and valve springs though to handle the horsepower for peace of mind.
