ABS Question

What causes the ABS light to come on, what parts go bad to cause the ABS Light to come on? It would just blink once then turn off last week and now it stays on? Want to get it fixed as I don't like having the lights on my dash

It's usually one of the three sensors (LF/RF-Rear) that stops communicating with the module. You can use an Ohm Meter to see what the resistance value of the fronts are by unplugging them, back behind that little "mud flap", to tell if it's one of those. It should read in the neighborhood of 700 Ohms.

Often, when the rear sensors stops working (in the center of the diff at the top) you also loose the speedometer...

Other than that, you would need to get it on a good diagnostic scanner, to retrieve the code, to know what's wrong.

well it seems that I couldnt get a connection in the left front sensor so I sprayed it up with contact cleaner and cleaned it real good and now it works good as new, Thanks alot for the help. I cleaned the rest of em since I was already doing it to the one and they seem to be at roughly 700 ohms so they should all be good. Thanks again
