Code p0344

I have an '03 7.3 f250 and today driving home the truck shut off slowing down to a traffic light but crank right back up. the check engine light came on, so i pilled the codes and it was P0344(Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent - bank 1/1 Sens). I have another CPS, but is this something where I should go ahead and change it or wait until it goes all the way bad?
I am going out of town this weekend and if it needs to be replaced I would rather do it at home than on the road.

I would just change it out. Like you said...It is better to make the repair at home. Plus if you try to make the repair on the road the motor will most likely be hot when you go to do it. I would rather stick my arms in a cold motor than a hot one.

Oh and do not forget to get another cps to throw in the glove box for the next time.
