Chip advice

Ok guys, I need some help. I've got a 00 F250SWB 4x4 Crew. She's got 260k miles and still runs like a dream. I just replaced the entire front end to the tune of about $2100. Ive done the filter mod and removed my muffler. I used to have a FlashPaq on it but someone else had the dealer overwrite the computer while it was in the shop one time(don't ask!). I used to get about 16 mpg with it.

I am a police officer who uses my truck for extra jobs, so I do a lot of sitting at idle for extended periods of time(Texas Weather). Currently I get around 12mpg with my idle time, hand calculated. I get 13 if I don't idle. I am looking to get a multi-position chip that will allow me to get much better mpg while still being able to tow. I'm not looking for any of the hi hp or smoke settings. I just want to be able to get good gas mileage and occasionally tow.

A recommend dp tuner I have the 80 Eco tune and i get around 15 city with 33s. They also have tow tunes as well depending on how much weight you are pulling any custom chip would be a good idea

i run a super-chip in mine..usually in high performance setting but rarely tow haul. you have to obviously manually switch back and forth for each one depending on the weight or just to be safe

i get about 16-17 (no joke) with 37's city

all the custom tuners are good, i've tried quite a few and beans are my favorite so far. beans, swamps, gearhead, tyrant, php, tony wildman, di are the popular ones. give them a call and see which one you like the best

I couldn't be happier with my PHP tunes. On the 120 Race tune I get 22mpg on the highway.

How long did it take you to get your PHP delivered, Drew?

Ordered mine last Friday and haven't seen so much as a confirmation email about it yet.

Took a few days to get my invoice. Then another few for it to ship. Then a few more for the mailman to bring it.

I wanna say it was about 2 weeks from the day I submitted my order to the day it was in my truck.

I know they have been having some family business to take care of lately so that might be why the delay.

I have noticed it can take some time to order from PHP direct. I made the decision to order from one of the PHP dealers. Specifically Kenny at KTperformance. If you just need a Phoenix 6 position with box tunes...then Kenny can have the chip burned and in the mail the same day.

I ordered on a thursday....the chip was sitting on my doorstep the next day. Kenny had the box on Fedex in matter of 1hr.
