Difference between exhaust sizes
What are the gains between a 5in exhaust and a straight piped stock 3.5in? I do a little towing but nothing major and don't really need anymore performance out of the truck. Wouldn't mind a little more but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the money or not.

5" is going to be a lot deeper that just a cat/muffler delete and even a 4" straight pipe.
Its has no performance gain over a 4". |

4" seems to be a standard upgrade. It will reduce you EGT's by allowing more exhaust flow from the hot side of the turbo. Both 4" and 5" kits come with a 4" downpipe so the only advantage 5" has is tone. You will get a deeper/louder sound from the 5" escially with a 5-6" or 5-7" tip on it.
