adding cruise control

ive got a early 99 f250 and it never had cruise control so i got a steering wheel and the wiring from another truck, everything went together good and plugged in properly but cruise doesn't work. i though i remember reading one that was all that was needed ?? can someone help me out??

somebody else has had to done this before ???

I don't know much about the cruise system except that it is controlled by the PCM so if your computer is not programmed for it my guess is it won't work.
