The stock will remain shut if you extend the adjuster arm al the way out forcing the waste gate to stay closed.

Sounds like a fair amount of work for a bandaid but I guess it could be done. Driving the stocker without the wastegate can be a little rough on the turbo but it can be done as long as you do it knowing that you are shortening it's life. By how much, I don't know.

There is also the Turbomaster Wastegate control rod... Cheaper then the banks and easy to ajust...

FYI... You dont want to "extend" the WG rod, you want to shorten it to make it tighter.

I agree i wouldn't want to do away with the waste gate completly, but holding it closed a little longer seems like a good thing, plus the map sensor will defuel @27 psi

Your right you need to shorten the ROD.. When you add 140+ power to a motor it shortens the life of a lot of things.. Just watch the Boost levels...

hey guys..what is the stock boost level of the truck? Don't these high performance chips increase the boost past 22lbs? If not..how do you get around this?

Also I was curious if you upgrade the turbo without injectors but have a TS 140HP tuner chip..will that supply enough fuel? If not what will happen.....either way if you have a upgraded turbo at stock boost levels wouldnt that lower EGT's and be benificial

stock boost is about 18 psi on a 7.3

yes the chips increase boost past 22 psi and to get around that, you need a MAP fooler.

as for the turbo questions - i'll let the other guys answer those
