engine upgrade question

Good morning,
I just bought a used 02 F350 CC SRW 4X4 shortbed automatic 7.3L with 86k on it. It is bone-stock except the previous owner installed a levelling kit and a pyrometer.

This is my first diesel pickup and I want to make sure to do any upgrades correctly and in the right order. I have a question...........prior to installing an upgraded intake, a 4" turbo back exhaust, and a chip, is it necessary to check the torque on the head bolts?

No that is not necesary as long as you have good tuning that keeps the cylinder pressure in check.

the first thing on anyones list should be gauges. Since the prev owner already had a pyro installed you're set. you can install a boost gauge although not really necessary.

as far as a chip, exhaust, intake go no there is no need to check the head studs.
