engine upgrade question
Good morning,
I just bought a used 02 F350 CC SRW 4X4 shortbed automatic 7.3L with 86k on it. It is bone-stock except the previous owner installed a levelling kit and a pyrometer. This is my first diesel pickup and I want to make sure to do any upgrades correctly and in the right order. I have a question...........prior to installing an upgraded intake, a 4" turbo back exhaust, and a chip, is it necessary to check the torque on the head bolts? |

the first thing on anyones list should be gauges. Since the prev owner already had a pyro installed you're set. you can install a boost gauge although not really necessary.
as far as a chip, exhaust, intake go no there is no need to check the head studs. |
