truck wont start help fast!!!!

my truck wont start when i turn the key everything comes on radio dash lights everything but when i turn the key nothing it doent even try to turn over if i jump the solenoid it will start right up. the other problem is when its running it runs real rough eventually shutting off. just happend like 15 minutes ago trucks been running fine all day is there any way to check the solenoid

i forgot to mention the check engine light has been on for 3 or 4 days i thought it had something to do with the 10k mod i had in whigh i removed i unhooked the batteries and let it sit for 15 minutes but it didnt go away

I don't know about the starting, but my icp sensor was getting a bad connection, and it would run REALLY rough. I never let it die. I unplugged the sensor, and it ran fine. You might try it. I can't help ya on the other thing, but I'll bump it up

okay i replaced the solenoid on the fender and the one on the starter and the neutral saftey switch and 2 new batteries today still didnt change anything. i turn the key on and everything works normal when i try to start it nothing. i dont have any power goin to the ignition wire to the solenoid on the fender what would cause. i really dont want to take my truck somewhere and let some one else work on it and try and rip me off i think it something simple but i cant finnd it can anyone help me

trucks is runnin smooth now the icp sensor plug was really loose where it plugs in i got it tightend up. i guess ill just keep jumpin of the solenoid until tommorow when i get some time to work on it thanks for the help guys. ill check the ignition switch

you could rig a bush button up in the cab running to the selonoid untill you can get it fingered out. that wat you dont have top keep poppin the hood every time.

yeah i had to jump it last night when i was doin it of course a cummins had to pull up and say something about of course i cant repeat what i told him on here

The obvious answer is because they know we'd return the favor.... and be ribbin' them about it just the same way!

Sorry I can't offer any insight to your starting problem, but I agree that a temporary push button for the starter would be a quick fix... PITA havin' to jump it at the starter every time!
