Unhappy Got in an accident today....

Luckily I only need a new bumper. I was wondering if I can get an 05-07 bumper to install where my old one was without changing the grille or anything else. I found a stock replacement for about 250 at a used part store here in town. I want to convert to the 05-07 look eventually but I dont have the cash to do it now.

Also Is the bumper difficult to replace?

I think you will need a new grill...

headlights are fine for now.

Rockauto.com sell cheap grills and they fit like factory... I got my HD grill from them for 100

That sucks. Hope no one was hurt. The truck can be fixed.

I pretty sure the newer bumper can be put on there, but I THINK there'd be a gap under the grille.

That's what I think too!!!

I think it would be better to just get an 05+ grill too

you can find them for under $100

Checked my blind spot to change lanes and looked forward and traffic was stopped. Unfotunatley our 7.3's don't stop on a dime. But luckily nobody got hurt and it was just body damage to my truck and the other guys.

So if i get an 05+ grille and an 05+ bumper the headlights should be ok (for now at least)?

And here's a picture if I did it right. Luckily he didn't have a receiver hitch in.

Probably just going to replace the original. The parts store only has one bumper for my year model. Annnd I need to do it this Friday morning so I cant risk tinkering all day. Is the bumper swap pretty simple?

if the new bumper comes with the steel brackets, then it will be JUST as hard/simple as the factory replacement
