HELP PLEASE NO REVERSE AND WONT SHIFT PAST 2ND!

I go to put my truck in reverse and it just revs up as if it was in neutral... and it wont shift past 2nd gear. Also my overdrive light on the end of the shift lever was flashing. I turned off the truck and back on multiple times but nothing changed but the light stopped flashing. Ive got the battery disconnected to see what happens when i reconnect it... any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong since I have a 6 speed but it sounds like your tranny is in limp mode. Try disconnecting the batteries for like 15 min and try it again.

Oh and everytime I cleared the codes it worked fine for a couple minutes, then it blew up. Torque converter basically disintegrated

Well that's just great... : / I'll see what happens I guess. Is the zf6 a ford tranny or aftermarket? I don't know much about the tranny in my truck or at all for that matter I just know the fords have weak torque converters right?
