08-12 Towing Mirror Questions

I found a really good deal (I think anyway) on a set of '11 towing mirrors. $750 for both and they are Ford mirrors not knock-offs, signal, heated, power folding telescoping. My question is this. I know I can make the turn signals work and the adjusting, but could I make the power folding/telescoping work by running a toggle switch? Or would this not work? Sorry if its a dumb question, I don't know much about them. Also is there anyway to make the defrost function work? I would love to have that if at all possible haha. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Alright so I found out that the sticky for the mirror conversion had been updated since the last time I saw it. So I know how to make them work. But is that a good deal? Just want to make sure before I spend that much money. Thanks guys.

Ok. Well, if you would (or remember) hit me with a pm before putting them up.
im interested but it all depends on how much my daughter gets out of me over summer as to weather i can buy them or not. Thanks!

Are yours just power adjust?

I have been wondering how everybody is wiring for defrost?

If I go this route, consider them yours.

My current ones are just power adjust. I don't think they came out with turn signals or defrost until at least 03.

You have to use an up-fitter switch to make the telescope/fold/defrost work.

Ok sounds good!

Like i said though, I may not be able to but would love first chance. Daughter is graduating ang going to Chile for a yr its definitely going to hurt the bank account a little! Lol

Yeah i thought signals and defrost didnt come out till 05 or so.
was just curious how us older trucks were doing it. So leaving them on past thaw out doesnt hurt them any?
Thats good to know.
