2001 7.3 F-250 no start

Engine started...ran 15- 20 sec. then died. No OBD-2 codes set..Changed cranK sensor...Fuel presure at pump 80 psi. Will run off ether. Is there a way to check injectors to see if they are working? Any Ideas would help...nearest Ford shop 45 miles away.....Thank You

check your fuses....

Is the glow plug light turning on and working properly??

unplug your ICP sensor and see if it will start.....

Check the high pressure oil pump resevour for oil

Check your actual oil level

you could try tapping on the IPR valve with something....just dont hit it hard enough to dent it....

those are a few easy cheap things to try....

also, is your tach registering while cranking ( i know you said you replaced the cam sensor, but u should never assume any part is good, ive seen brand new parts that were no good)

Thanks Marc....The tach is not moving with the new or old crank sensor. Does that mean they are both bad? What RPM should the Tach read while cranking? Thanks for the help so far.......

The tach is not a foolproof test because some trucks never have the tach register when cranking.... It could mean that the new one is bad though...

do the other tests first.....see if you find anything. You have fuel to the injectors if the pressure is good, which means it has to be an electrical or mechanical condition not allowing the injectors to fire...

The other thing to make sure of is that your batteries are fully charged...
