Mods ?'s and TC switch question

I am getting my '99 ready for the summer and had a question about the TC lock switch.

Last summer while towing my tractor my check engine light came on 2 times, primarily because it was hilly terrain. I was running between 55mph-65mph on the Interstate. The trans temp was up on my gauge both these times...while pressing on the accelerator the truck would shift and loose RPM but then go back up rapidly (not sure if this was torque convertor unlocking?).

Thinking back, it may have been my fault for having the OD on...would this make a difference?? (our other '99 is a manual...so last summer was my 1st with an automatic)

I have the upgraded trans pan (mag-hytec), TP-Tuner w/ tow tunes, and upgraded valve body (that is what my PSD tech told me when he did a check up when I purchased it).

Any suggestions or recommendations? Is a TC switch a bad idea b/c of the tunes?

Other Mods:
GPR stancor mod w/ led indicator (even though truck sits in the winter/still start up once a week in winter)

coolant filter bypass setup

MaxBrake controller

Any other mods that you suggest for the PSD that I might be forgetting (I check out guzzle's suggestions).

Thanks...
