Dipstick flange Upgrade?
We all know about the leaking oring on the dipstick tube flange.
I did this fix this last weekend, had a slight leak still, RTV'd the outer mating surface, and we'll see how it does. My questions is, does someone make an upgraded version of the flange? The idea I had was like this: Lakeview Rv Supply Inc - No-Fuss Flush - 336A - Drain & Flush Systems - Camping World The black part is my idea. Have just an outer flange that fits the hole there (or one you drill), you slobber sealant all over the flange, then have screws all around the flange that suck it down onto the pan. |

Well I just did it my way. Didn't use RTV on the outside the first time and it was a pain to get the inner oring to seat right.

yeah it was a PITA to get that gasket to seal properly, I ended up putting some grease on it and it stuck a little better
