Can you please define higher boost? for example I am looking at going the dp-tuner route with maybe the 100hp setting for showing off but mostly the 80 econ setting and 40 for towing. will i need this then? or are we only talking about people running the blow your heads off level of boost?

Pulled some good hills today. Engine light comes on near WOT and 25psi boost but it doesn't seem to be defueling so I'm wondering if it's throwing a code for high injection pressure or something. The light goes out when I back off. Anyone have any ideas?

That picture is exactly how we did it on my buddies 01, except we soldered it. Ever since we put it on his truck and my truck neither of us have gotten an over boost code but we still occasionally get the ICP high code and I used to get the Exhaust back pressure code until I disconnected the sensor and plugged the tube. If anyone is still having check engine light at high boost then I’d suggest scanning it to make sure what it is.

It looks to me like you did it wrong. I thought it was banded end to the the black wire and other side to the gray/red wire. I just stuck the diode ends up into the sensor as far as I could and mines been working fine. I hit 30#'s last night on the way home from trick or treating. The green wire is the one I tapped for my boost gauge. But what do I know.

I didn't want to solder it and risk heat damaging the diode. Anyway, it seems to be working. I am getting an engine light but it's definitely not defueling. Btw, this truck is a dually with a welding deck and is loaded full time. It weighs almost 13,000 lbs. There's lots of hills where I drive, so I'm pulling hard a lot of the time. Thanks again for the info on this mod.
