Wheel seal replaced still leaking.

My wheel seal was gone when I bought the truck. It use to smoke around the wheel after driving hard. I changed it out about 800 miles ago and changed the rear diff fluid. And now I just checked and it is leaking again but not as much as it use to at all. The fluid dropping is black and I just replaced the fluid. I'd there another o ring or seal I missed that would could make it leak
