All 4 door lock actuators out?????

None of the four door lock actuators will lock the doors. When I push the lock button I can hear all four attempting to lock the doors but will not. They will not unlock the doors either. Is it possible that all four actuators are bad or is there another culprit? Thanks

If you lock 2 doors manually, then try to lock from the drivers panel , will the 2 doors lock?

I had a problem a few years ago , where the locks would work , then not work. Very intermittent. Also had a problem with interior lights at the same time . I replaced the GEM module and have not had a problem since , until this week when the pass side rear door won't lock on the first try , it would work on the second try . Don't buy a GEM until you look it to it further, the Gem is about 350- 400 bucks.

I can manually lock/unlock all four doors but cannot electronically lock/unlock them no matter how many times I hit the button.

My brothers early 99 was the same way and all 4 of his actuators were bad and needed to be replaced, they are about $60 each door from Napa. Since he replaced them his doors lock/unlock perfect.

Search on here for how to do the foil fix for the door locks. I did it in about 30 min. Free and easy fix

All four of mine was out on my truck. Same thing as you describing. I ordered all four actuators from AM Autoparts - After Market Auto Parts - Headlights, Mirrors, and More for around $89 for all four. (plus shipping) Took around 20-30 minutes per door to change. You tube it and you find a video showing you how to do it. Goodluck !!

How do you get the door panels off? My truck came with new actuators but I can not figure out how to get the door panels off. It feels like the mounting tabs are going to break off when I try to pull them loose.

There should be two screws in the panel, one behind the open door marker and another behind the window switch/door lock switch panel. Lift the panel up from the front and it pops out. The door panel needs to be lifted up first and then out otherwise you're correct in assuming the tabs will break off. Good luck. I just replaced three door lock actuators last week and getting ready to replace the driver's door switch. I got my parts from O'Rilley's for $37 each but would have preferred to get the Doorman's from Amazon for $29 each if I could have waited a few days for shipping. Good luck.

This just happened to me, did you ever try the foil mod before swapping actuators? I can hear my locks trying to lock/unlock but thats it. Its weird, they were working perfectly than I pulled my PCM to get the # off it for a tuner and when I put it back in they just stopped....
