New shocks, lookin for input
Hey guys, quick question. I have a set of rancho shocks on my truck right now, and i am going to replace them. My grandfather told me that the factory shocks are the smoothest riding ones. But he drives an 08 PSD, so it may be different with a truck 8 years older. What are the smoothest riding shocks for these trucks? I'm not towing very often, and when I do its a dune buggy with an old VW in it, on a small trailer. I drive on a bunch of roads that are sh**, and we get beat up on these roads.
So what's the smoothest riding schocks I can get for my truck? 00' F250 if that helps at all. Thanks |

No disrespect to your grandfather, but the "factory shocks" are about the worst shocks you can have on your truck. With your truck having a leaf spring front end, there isn't going to be a night and day difference with any shock you choose, but there will be some difference. You can't go wrong with anything Bilstein, you can try Rancho 9000's which are adjustable from 0 to 9, softest to stiffest. Don't know what your budget is, but if you can get a set of Fox shocks and you can adjust the nitrogen in them but they are a pretty penny
