2002 F250 advice
I am looking at a 2002 F250 CC. It has the 7.3 and 129k miles on it. I am new to the diesel world but have owned lots of Ford trucks. The truck is in great shape and the price seems right at $14k. The only thing holding me up is that it was used to pull a fifth wheel trailer. Should I avoid a truck that has been used to pull a fifth wheel? Excuse my ignorance but I am new to this. Any input would be appreciatied. Thanks.

Well two ways to look at it, either the trans has already been replaced or its on the verge of going out. Take it to a trans shop and have it looked over to see if there are any problems. Other than that though, i wouldnt worry bout it, this is what these trucks arent meant for being workhorses.

Depends on how it was used for that 129K... Did it just pull the trailer every now and then, or was it constantly pulling a trailer?

I'm new to the diesel game myself, but from what I've read and researched on this site that seems like a good buy. Most people only go camping maybe 4x a year. Like stated above have the tranny checked. Hope it works out for you.
