Chip location?
I have a 2001 F-450 7.3 I bought used, and it came with an extra "towing" chip I'd like to try - where is the chip located?

What do you mean by chip? We need a little more info on what you are working with to be able to give you the correct answer.

Chip location
Well, I assumed it was called a chip, since the label on it says "key off to remove or replace chip". It is about 1" x 4", with a female plug on the back with 15 metal connectors, and has a label on the front that says TOP and one on back that says BKA2 TOW.

Sounds like it plugs into the ecm. Are you familiar with where that box is and how to get at it?

ECM
Nope - that's what I'm trying to find out.

Before going through all that do you have a way to post a picture of it?

Not sure what you mean by "party" a photo? I have photos of it, but not sure how to get them on this thread?

That was a phone fail. Meant post. Photobucket is what I use.

Tow Chip Photo
There's a Gallery Hall under my signature - I just posted a photo of the chip in there. Not sure if that's what you meant - I'm new to this.

Don't really listen to this guy but this might help show you where to look.
