gauge required

Just rebuilt my trans on my 01 powerstroke, I know I need a transmission guage what other things should I monitor. My truck is not chiped and have no intention of doing so. Do I need to monitor the fuel pressure between the pum and injector pump. I ask this because my brother owns a dodge his pump whet out and was not aware and ended up having to replace both pumps

EGTs and boost. Then fuel if you want.

you have no injection pump (high press fuel pump), just a fuel transfer (lift) pump that fills the bowl and pressurizes it to 40-60psi.

i personally like knowing that i have plenty of pre-injector pressure, but mpst people dont give it a second glance until their pump takes a dump.

If you don't plan on chipping I wouldn't worry about boost. But I'd still check for boost leaks anyway. Then trans temp, EGT, and fuel pressure and maybe coolant temp.
