75w-140 gear oil RP or Mobil 1

just curious, going to replace mine this week with one or the other. Also anyone find a cheapER than normal place to buy these? i know they're more expensive than regular gear oil...

I used Royal Purple because I got it cheaper than the mobil. Seems to be pretty good stuff.

I'd use a good synthetic with the appropriate friction modifier as required. Schaeffers is excellent.

If those are your only 2 choices? I would go with M1... Just My opinion!
But go with the one that is cheaper and at your closest Store... Prices will vary for everyone... Depending on your location...

Redline I feel has the most Robust Gear Oils... Followed by

Amsoil SVG & Schaeffers

ended up going with mobil 1..limited slip seems to be happy with just the oil and no additional additive...
