Block heater
Is there anyway to check for a short on the block heater? Im putting a new plug on it this weekend. 2000 F350 249k miles

You can ohm it out by putting the test probes on the plug....I can't remember the correct ohm's it should read but there is a article somewhere here about testing the heater.....Fred

Ok I found it....it should ohm out at 14-16 ohm's using a probe on each of the flat plug prongs at the same time.....Fred
