2nd Try, Maybe a Seven3?

Some of you may be familiar with my story, if not....

1st Payment almost Due, Still No PSD?

I have come across a Nice 2002, Lariat, Crew, 4x4, Short-Box, PSD...

It is right about 197K on the Odometer...runs good, stops good, drives good.

Guy who owns it is 2nd owner.

It is in great (looking) shape (all white-my personal preference) with Warn Hubs...

No Tuning gear to be found. Appears stock, High Pressure Lines (?) have been replaced.

He is firm on $16,500....thing is, I'd have to sale the Avalanche first!

what are any issues one would expect from a 7.3 auto? What about pricing? Seems very comparable to what is avail locally here in the Upstate!

thanks,
still needin' a truck!

Cale the year is good the milage isn't for the money. You can buy a 2000 or 2001 with much less miles on it for less money. The truck in my gallary was 12k. lariate 4X4 lifted with 35's. They are all essentially the same truck, just different comforts to them. Keep in mind anything manufactured before 10/2000 has forged connecting rods. Depending on your plans for the truck that could be a good thing to think about. These trucks will run a long time, if your heart is set on this one. Take it to a good diesel shop first and have it really looked at. Have the HPOP tested foresure.

my gut

my gut tells me that I should pay about 12K for a truck with those miles....

thing is...here in SC there appears to be a shortage of trucks for sale...and those for sale seem to be bringing a premium...esp the 03-06's..

heck even the 7dot3's......what's a man to do?

My buddy from the Chevy store is in Orlando at a sale...waiting on his call?

Sit on it a while. Keep looking for something more affordable. Have you checked book value?
