New Steering Gear problem?

02 7.3 CC LB 4WD

I just finished replacing my re-manufactured steering gear box and it isn't working correctly. I am pretty meticulous during my replacements so I am baffled. Once I was ready to bleed the power steering pump I had my wife come out and bump the engine over and over to bleed it and get the new fluid circulating. Once this was done I started it and had her turn it full deflection both ways and she couldn't get it to go any further right after centering the wheel. So I centered the wheel thinking I had installed the pitman arm incorrectly, removed and replaced the pitman arm back to center and now it will spin a lot to get to the left without moving the wheel that much works ok going to the right and I don't get full defection either way. I am baffled any help would be great as I will be removing the gear tomorrow to inspect.
