i was thinking about hooking my epbv valve up to a "on-off" switch and was wondering if i could just hook up a 12v curcit up to it. i seen on other write ups about it there using diodes so the pcm isnt getting a 12v feedback but thats with a 3 position switch. any answers??
I think it's grounded out but it's been done before. Just tap one wire and extend the circuit to the switch so it's open on one position and closed on the other. The closed position will allow it to operate per PCM instruction, and open means no EBPV at all.
ok ya i was just going to run power to a switch in the cab the from the switch run a wire that goes to the epbv valve plug so i can turn it off or on as i wish.then leave the wire from the pcm to the plug capped if i can.
Oh you want to have it manually controlled. Idk if it's power or ground that activates it.
