whelen tir4 wiring

i know this really isn't a powerstroke question but im trying to wire up a set of emergency lights in my grill on my f350. I have whelen tir-4's.. when i removed them from my old truck i was in a hury and didn't get a chance to notice how they were wired... theres four wire coming out the back:
RED - power
BLACK - ground
GREY - ?
WHITE - ?

I know one of them is the sync wire and maybe one is patterns? I really don't remember and couldn't find much from google. Thankyou

white should be pattern and grey should be sync
just hook them up to battery and test the white wire and see if the pattern changes
